A refreshing morning and I dont feel like doing anything else. No, I did not get any autographs or handshake. If I want, I would rather have a conversation with him. "How are you with Patty?" Ha ha...

Red carpet: I reached there at about 6.30pm, but went for dinner at Mac first with eve. Afterwhich, we went to stand by the red carpet, but our view sucks. Thanks to 3 guys in front of us. Edison came by at about 7.30pm, he's so cute with the new hairdo! He's so friendly that he shook hands and signed autograph for the fans on the opposite side. Wrong move. Then Kenny Bee came. Afterwhich Shawn Yu. He walked by very fast! Shua Da Pai, we said. Ha ha! Anthony Wong was next, he looked so cool. Even cooler than Jay. After much anticipating and as expected, Jay was the last to arrive at about 8.45pm. Basically a lot of the people were waiting for Jay. He came in his favourite flowery white top. I caught his dimples, so kokoii! But I did not have any decent pictures coz all were blurry from the walking and crowd.

Right after he came, we went up to the cinema. Man, it was packed! (P.S. I saw Macdonald's staffs standing on their chairs, ready to take pictures. Tsk tsk... Ikea chairs.) I was kinda regretting not coming up earlier, as the cast walked up the long escalator and did a quick interview before going into the cinema. It was such a good chance to snapshot.

Before the movie: After all the casts went in, the patrons have to wait before they released us into the cinema. And thanks to the double or triple instructions from the organisers. When I saw the barricade in front of the little stage before the screen, I was glad that my seats were 5 rows from the front. Ha ha... but no, they were not in the cinema hall yet, perhaps somewhere in another room.

At about 9.40pm, the cast walked in after the two FM 933 DJs introduced. With all the crowd rushing forward, I went with my camera as well. Took another few more pics but was not good either. Jay looked rather.... short, (therefore my mood changes also). I guessed he's really 1.73cm. He was standing beside Kenny Bee and the difference between their height was obvious. I thought Edison will be the shortest or even Shawn, coz Shawn looked very small sized on the red carpet. But Jay's complexion is very good and he's very fair! Must be DHC's credit. He looked just like from the tv . They introduced themselves and Jay, as usual, looked down on the floor, or not, looked far into space. I didnt saw him doing any waving or smiling to any fans. I think he's used to the flashing cameras in front of him. (Quite sad ironic feel to see that. Like in zoo. ) Edison was very restless and was moving around or talking to Shawn. Perhaps he was bored as he was the 1st to arrive. Before they left, I took a video clip. I should have taken it earlier. A weird feeling after they left. The 5 mins scene that just passed by was 'non-excited'. Perhaps the scene looked like it was a duplicate of what I've seen on tv and it passed by too fast.

Movie: Spoiler!
For the story, I would say it's based on the anime, but not exactly like the anime. So for Initial D anime/comic readers, dont go watch it with the mind of the exact story in it. It's has a lot of funny scenes and Jay was being himself in the movie, really himself. Not really Takumi. It's like watching an extended 1.5h version of his MV. He cried! The classic scene, man! Takumi in this show is very emotional and love driven while in anime, he is more racing driven and kept his feelings. Anime Takumi will not smiled and savour to the memory himself. At most, he'll be stoned. Anime will focus on Takumi being forced to race while in the movie, it's not that obvious. And to think that Edison and Shawn are friends in the movie! But still the laughing matters are already good enough.
