:: Kelong Flopperstar ::
*sings* Let me show you the way, it's the game that we play...
Was so disappointed with the Superstar results. Wei Chong is way better than Jason. 1st, Jason doesnt have a appealing superstar face, and 2nd, he sang Energy's Come On, just like a shu lai bao. He was reciting the lyrics, my god. What happen to the ears of those voters. He really sux at the fast number. Although Wei Chong is not the best performer that night, he's definitely not the worst. Finally we had a hunk, who can represent Singapore, but seems that local girls just lurved those cutey malnutrition shorties. Typical example, that fishball stuffing guy (name complimentary of eve), Derrick.
Next, ladies. Im not sure about Ruth, perhaps she doesnt have a appealing look as well. But Silver sux. Her singing is hollow and without any strong feel. Her looks? Ya, she had a sweet look, so what?!
Plus, 40% from judges and 60% from votings?! Are the telcos trying to cheat people money or what? Their explaination is that being a superstar needs to have audience appeal. But you still need to have talent what. Please dont end up, having an ah beng with poor command of english and chinese, again.
Come'on, looks is a must if you are looking for a superstar. You need to be stunning on stage! Looks + vocal = Superstar.
Andy Lau / Takeshi Kaneshiro: Looks + deep mesmerizing vocal
Jolin Tsai: Looks (maybe artificial, but who cares) + good vocal
Steph Sun: Looks (her complexion is better now) + stunning live performance vocal
Lee Hom: Needless to say. Captivating looks + great vocal
Jay Chou: - Vocal: Some said he's not that good in vocal. I agree. Not as great impact as Jacky Cheung or Lee Hom. But who else can sing high pitched Hei Se You Mo, deep voiced rapping Yi Fu Zhi Ming and fast murmuring in Niang Zi?
- Looks: Okay, I admit. He's not handsome. But at least his own attitude, hairstyle and clothing helped him. He may not be hunky but at least he's not malnutrition like the contestants!
I'm biased towards Jay.
Now, all the contestants have vocal (supposedly) but no looks. From the way it goes, I think Jun Yang, being a friend of JJ Lin and having similar vocal, and Kelly (I dunno why she had such a high mark) will win the game.
Talking about being a superstar or flopped idol winner, they gained money and lose freedom. Sometimes I wonder how they feel when they are walking around and people pin point them out. Then as they stood in front of the stage, people snapping photos excitedly and screaming, (Like when I saw Jay at the ID premiere.), do they feel awkward? Go toilet. Snapped. Go makan. Snapped. Go meet girlfriend. Snapped. Everyone around the world wants to know their every movement, every gesture. It's a cycle. Fans want to see = Paparazzi snapped = Superstar kena snapped. So fans loved the superstars, but in the end, they are the one who hurt their idols. Talk so much, nonetheless, I still like to surf Apple Daily website.
Ha ha... Sorry, Zhou Dong, Daniel Wu and others.
